The Process

  1. Soldering the electronics

All the components were soldered together. This includes the two speaker units, the li-ion cells, the bluetooth-amplifier module, the boost converter, the switch and the charging circuit.

2. Schematic

A simple schematic to show how the components were soldered. The boost converter used was a MT-3608. The charging circuit was a TP-4056. The amplifier was a PAM-8403.

3. Plywood Box

A simple plywood box was made using 5mm 3-ply plywood. Butt joints were used, glued using PVA glue. No particular finish was applied. All the electronics were then stored inside. The picture shows the 3D model of the box, drawn in Inventor. The 3D pdf can be downloaded here.
